Walter McKinley Fiddie III Charleston - Walter McKinley "Ken" Fiddie III, 77, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Beth Fiddie, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 23, 2022. Ken was born in 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Walter McKinley Fiddie, Jr. and Inez Geneva Tuten Fiddie. He worked in civil service as a project engineer for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), from which he retired in February of 2005. Following retirement, he was employed in information technology support with Applied Marine Technology Institute (AMTI) and also with Science Applications International Corporation, Inc. (SAIC). Ken is survived by his wife, Beth; his daughter, Erin Lamm (Charles) of Jacksonville, FL; his son, Jeff Fiddie of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Nick Lamm, Jake Lamm, and Hayden Fiddie, all of Jacksonville, FL; his step-son, William Riggins of Rome, GA; and his beloved Schnoodle, Toby. Ken was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was arguing with his daughter over politics. He was so proud of his family. He got to see his oldest grandson graduate from high school this past May, his granddaughter win an award for most improved and his youngest grandson, who has autism, move on to the 6th grade. No one could have been any prouder than him. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held in Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
