Virgil Smith LADSON - Mr. Virgil Smith, 78, of Ladson, SC, passed away on October 10, 2025, peacefully, with his loving wife and children by his side. Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mr. Smith will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in Life Center Cathedral, located at 7190 Cross County Road, North Charleston, SC 29418. The viewing for Mr. Smith will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am until the start of service. Live Oak Memorial Gardens, located at 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC, 29414, will be the site of Mr. Smith's burial. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Carolyn Ross Smith of Pineville, South Carolina, and five children: Troy Nesbitt (Tiffany), Miracle Smith, Virgil Smith III, April Smith (Rhashad), and Anita Ono (Takuya). He also leaves a special friend and son, Kurvelle Clark and nine adored grandchildren: Anastasia, Azariah, Asher, Paul, Mia, Carolyn Jeanette (CJ), Austin, Kyo and Ryo. Virgil is survived by his loving siblings: Allan Smith (Karen), Aletha Mullen (Pat), Wanda Pennix, Mykah Moore (Reginald) along with many nieces, nephews, family, and dear friends. Virgil's life was a reflection of faith and love. To know him was to be touched by kindness and to witness what it truly meant to walk with the Lord. Though he is no longer with us, his light continues to shine through the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. His memory will live on as a reminder of the power of love, faith, and family-and the unshakable peace that comes from a life rooted in God.
