Van M. Richardson EUTAWVILLE - Mr. Van M. Richardson, 77, of Eutawville, husband of Jean Anderson Richardson, died Saturday, October 3, 2009 in a Moncks Corner nursing home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Eutawville United Methodist Church with Rev. Peter Belec officiating. Burial will follow in the Eutawville Cemetery. Mr. Richardson was born in Sumter, a son of the late Van M. Richardson, Sr. and Ruth Brown Richardson. A graduate of Holly Hill High School, he was an Army veteran and retired sign painter. Van was a member of the Eutawville United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by a sister, Claudia R. Withington. Surviving are his wife of the home; a daughter, Vanda R. Murphy of Holly Hill; sons, Ricky Richardson of Eutawville and Bobby Richardson of Maude, Tex.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Eutawville UMC, PO Box 362, Eutawville, SC 29048.
