Timothy Taylor Obituary

Timothy J. Taylor DANIEL ISLAND - Ret. Timothy J. Taylor, USN SEAL, of Daniel Island, South Carolina, formerly of Ardmore, PA. passed away suddenly on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was 67 years old. Tim is the beloved husband of Maryann (nee Sergi) Taylor and the loving father of Timothy J. Taylor, Jr.. He is the devoted son of Ann Theresa "Mickey" (nee O'Donnell) and the late William J. Taylor, Sr., Esq. The dear brother of William J. (Susan) Taylor, Esq., Jr., Marguerite (Michael) Dolan, Ann Marie "Rie Rie" (John) McShea, Jean (Sam) Vinovich, and Matthew A. (Judith) Taylor, Esq.. Tim was also survived by his 16 nieces and nephews. Tim was born in Philadelphia, PA. He grew up in Ardmore, PA. and graduated from The School of the Holy Child in Rosemont, PA. Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, PA. He continued his education and received his BS from Mansfield University in Central Pennsylvania. Tim joined the United States Navy in 1991 and worked to join the SEAL group, which he was a part of for 28 years. Tim has earned an extensive list of awards from the military, including 4 bronze stars. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday, October 6, 2021 from 3 pm to 6 pm in the Funeral Home of John Stretch, 236 East Eagle Rd., Havertown, PA 19083 and to his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11 am in St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, PA 19083. He will be interred in Arlington National Veterans Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
