Thomas Prox Obituary

Thomas "Tommy" Adolph Prox MONCKS CORNER - Thomas "Tommy" Adolph Prox, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, devoted husband of Tamara Dawn Prox, entered into Eternal Rest November 11, 2023 , surrounded by loved ones. Tommy was born February 10, 1956, in Waycross, Georgia, to his late parents, Bernard C. Prox and Betty Joyner Prox. He was a Chistian with a kind, compassionate heart. If someone needed help, Tommy would volunteer his assistance before being asked. He continued giving of himself even though major health issues weakened his body over the years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with his brother Neil. Also, when the grands visited, he was often seen walking with one of them, swinging a bucket to fill with wild strawberries. He also loved to grill for family gatherings. Tommy worked for Thompson Construction Group for over 22 years as Superintendent of pipe-fitting and welding. In addition to his wife, Tammy, he is survived by a daughter, Heather (Billy) Minter and their three children of North Charleston; a stepdaughter, Ashton Leedy (Chad) and their four sons Bryson, Dalton, Emmett and Elliott Leedy of Moncks Corner; his sister, Loretta Perry of Moncks Corner; nieces, Alicia Sims and Lauren Sims; and nephew, Michael Prox. He also leaves behind Roscoe, his loving dog. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Neil Prox. A memorial service will be held December 2, 2023, at 11:00 at First Southern Methodist Church of Summerville, 9715 Miles Jamison Road, Summerville, SC. Donations may be made to Berkeley Animal Center, 131 Central Berkeley Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
