Tom Bahringer was a dear friend of mine, I miss him very much. He and Bud Reed were great men and we had so much in common. We Catholics. Tom used to read at Church. Please Lord keep them close to You. And Tom don't forget me. I love you both more than I can say. Emma

Dear Tom and family,
Looking through pictures dating back many years to the good times spent together in Connecticut, New York City, and Charleston with Colette Vreeland, my mother, and I. I'm remembering you with great affection and joy. You were my son Lukas Maier's US Godfather and met a few times when we visited from Austria. You and Bud, Kevin's Godfather, always asked about them and enjoyed hearing of their escapades. You would be proud of them now at 36 and 38 years old, both fathers and loving sons. Praying for you. Wishing you a heavenly reunion with all your loved ones at the glorious cocktail party with the Lord!

I just learned of Tom's death. We met in Charleston but didn't become friends until we bumped into each other at the musical La Cage in NYC. I always stayed with Tom when visiting Charleston and in between had lots of laughs on the phone. I'll miss him.

I just heard today that Tom had passed, not 10 minutes after I was telling a co-worker how much I appreciated all the time Tom took with me to train me when I came to work at Cameron & Barkley so many years ago. I knew nothing about lighting, but he was a patient mentor who guided me to my still continuing career in lighting. We had spent quite a few lunches together until our meeting spot (Ryans) shut down. I still repeat his favorite joke about the parrot. He was so entertaining. I will forever be grateful to have had him in my life and honored that he called me friend.

Tom, you are probably the dearest friend I've ever had. I miss you everyday. Bob and I can truly say that we have never had a lack of conversation and never any cross words or mad at one another for anything. Well Tom if you hadn't hired me at Cameron and Barkley, I may have never met and married Bob. So thank you for that. We can't imagine you not being in our lives anymore. We miss and love you dearly.

My dearest Tomacito (as I called you), this is Emmita (as you called me). I miss you every day - I miss our chats on the phone. I cannot believe that you are not here - it is a shock each time I think of calling you.
I am very grateful to Carol Lowther who called me to give me the news when I could not get you on the phone and left many voice mails.
TO your family my deepest condolences. I hope to meet them in Church on the 30th of this month.
Tom, thank you for all the memories so dear to me with you and Bud. I will cherish them the rest of my life.
I love you.
Emma
