Therese Helena Monahan MacAulay MT. PLEASANT - Therese Helena Monahan MacAulay, 81, widow of James Michael MacAulay, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away, surrounded by her children, on Friday, August 14, 2009. The relatives and friends of Therese MacAulay are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, in Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1122 Russell Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC, at 10:00 a.m. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in the Mt. Pleasant Chapel from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Mrs. MacAulay was born January 24, 1928, in Kansas City, MO, daughter of Leo A. Monahan and Helena Schargel Monahan. She received her Masters in English at Avila College in Kansas City, MO. She was also a retired certified public accountant with Palmetto Ford and a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church. She is survived by her six sons, James Michael MacAulay, Jr. and his wife, Martha of Raleigh, NC, William Vincent MacAulay of Birmingham, AL, Leo Frances MacAulay of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Sean Hugh MacAulay and his wife, Cindy of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Neil Anthony MacAulay of Charlotte, NC, Brian Timothy MacAulay and Stacey Johnson of Charleston, SC; three daughters, Kathleen Therese Keene of Eutawville, SC, Judith Eileen MacAulay and Talmadge Russell of Goose Creek, SC, and Maureen MacAulay Kotos and her husband Michael of Summerville, SC; ten grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, Sean, Shannon, Ashley, Amber, Kaitlin, Megan, J.T., Kenny and one on the way; three great-grandchildren, Simon, Gracie, and Kennedy.
