Stephen Frederick Obituary

Stephen Russell Frederick JAMES ISLAND - Stephen Russell Frederick, 73, a resident of James Island, SC, entered into eternal rest on April 13, 2025. He was born November 14,1951 in Covington, KY. Stephen served as Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate and retired in 1991. During his naval career, Stephen was diagnosed with MS in 1985. Following his retirement, he worked for the Navy at Bushy Park. In his youth, he was an avid water skier, loved slow and fast pitch softball and bowling. You would often find him at the JI Senior Center playing cards. Stephen is survived by his wife, Linda; and one son, Stanley (Quana) of Fort Collins, CO. He has three sisters, Elaine Murry of Burlington, KY; Marilyn Woods (Barry) of Walton, KY; and Lois Davenport of Florence, KY; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William R. Frederick and Geneva Frederick. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Celebration of Life will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Chapel. Burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
