Shumain Singleton Valdosta, GA - We sorrowfully regret to inform you that Ms. Shumain Singleton, formerly of Summerville, SC entered into eternal rest on February 28, 2019 in Valdosta, GA. The last religious rites for Ms. Singleton will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 11:00 AM at Canaan United Methodist Church, Ridgeville, SC, Rev. Jeffrey Salley, Pastor. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Summerville, SC. Her parents Mr. Isreal and Mrs. Deloris Singleton request her grandmother Mrs. Audrey Hunt; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to attend with them these last rites. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.Viewing for Ms. Singleton will be held TODAY (March 8, 2019) 3:00 PM-7:00 PM at ALBERT A. Shumain Deloris Singleton (1980-2019), was an associate of science achiever at Denmark Technical College (DTC), North Charleston, South Carolina. During her amazing career, she worked as a customer service representative (SCANA Corporation), a customer service & sales representative (Comcast), and served as a supervisor for the NCO Group.

Shumain, a very talented songwriter, vocalist, producer and manager of various hip-hop groups, was also a creative literary musician of traditional music and rap songs. Both she and her cousin, Atlanta-based rapper Lejit, Chase Singleton, were inducted into the Family Journal, USA & Overseas Sarah McLean Literary Hall of Fame 2022.
