Shirley Schillo Obituary

SCHILLO, Shirley Shirley M. Schillo, 79, a long time resident of McMurray, PA, died Monday, July 31, 2006 at Bradley Healthcare and Rehab Center in Cleveland, Tennessee, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 8, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter of Samuel and Victoria Kantosili Beck. She graduated from Langley High School in 1945. Mrs. Schillo married her husband Carl G. Schillo on November 22, 1947. They became longtime residents of McCurray, PA where she was a member of the Peters Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Center Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She also worked as a receptionist for several doctors in the area. She relocated to Goose Creek, South Carolina in 1999. She spent much of her time with her friends at the South Berkeley Seniors Center. Surviving are a daughter, Karen Schillo of Monessen, PA; a daughter, Lori Donegan, her husband Russell and son, Josh of McDonald, Tennessee; a son, Jeffrey Schillo and his son Cody and daughters, Alyssa and Kaylee of PA, and son Kenneth Schillo of Goose Creek, SC, and his daughter Bethany of PA and son Jeremy and his wife Laura and their daughter Hannah of Jacksonville Beach, FL; a nephew Jason Vrabel of Pittsburgh, PA. Deceased in addition to her mother and father are her husband Carl and sister Suzanne Vrabel. Friends will be received in the Salandra Funeral Home, 304 West Pike Street, Cansburg, Joseph P. Salandra, Supervisor from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The time of the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
