One of my favorite ladies, Shirley was a fabulous, upbeat, kind and helpful lady who I feel very honored to have known. I first met her when I sang in the church's childrens program, and later got to know her better when I joined her in the adult choir after college. I cannot imagine Bethany UMC without her. Our thoughts and prayers to the family.

RIP Shirley Dent and thanks for being like a second Mom when I came to Summerville in the summer of 1969 and became best friends with your son Tommy. You were so blessed with 84 years on this earth but where you are (heaven)now is the ultimate blessing and goal for us all. I will remember you as a loving and caring person who loved the game of golf. My condolences to Tommy, and the rest of your outstanding family. You were loved by so many! My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. My heartfelt condolences extended to all your family members. Love to all, Billy G. Baker
