Scott Shields Obituary

Scott C. Shields SUMMERVILLE - Scott C. Shields ("Scotty"), of Summerville, SC, age 48, lost his battle with cancer on December 12, 2016. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn Groom Shields. He is further survived by his mother, Terry-Ellen Shields; two sisters: Elizabeth Camputaro and Jennifer Shields; and his two step children: Tyler Stello and Samantha Stello. Scotty was born August 9, 1968 in Syracuse NY. He graduated from Summerville High School in 1986 and attended Lander University and College of Charleston. He was the owner of Palmetto Maintenance Solutions. Scotty loved the outdoors and was happiest when he was camping, fishing, boating, surfing, kayaking, or just chilling at the beach or lake with a cold drink and good friends. Most of all, he loved his family, and they were the center of his world. The family would like to thank Kathy, Mary, Brenda and Pastor Brad from Embrace Hospice for their excellent work and loving care. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Visit our guestbook at www.legacy.com/obituaries/ charleston
