Sarah Farmer Obituary

Sarah Frances Hogarth Farmer ALLENDALE, SC - Sarah Frances Hogarth Farmer, 84, widow of the late Charles H. "Bubsie" Farmer died Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Mrs. Farmer was a native of Allendale and the son of the late William Frampton and Josephine Lazar Hogarth. After graduating from high school she lived on the Battery in Charleston, SC, during WWII where she worked at the U.S. Custom House. She was a homemaker and later enjoyed working with her beloved Bubsie at Farmer's Play School. Mrs. Farmer was a member of the Allendale Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Woman's Auxiliary. Sarah Frances enjoyed playing cards with her friends of the Allendale Bridge Club and was an avid gardener. She was a precious mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Allendale Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion with the Reverend William Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Swallow Savannah Cemetery. Survivors include, one son Charles H. Famer, III (Donna) of Charleston; two daughters, Rebecca F. Brabham (George) of Sycamore and Michaele F. Tison ( Artie) of Estill; one sister, Helen H. Jackson of Allendale; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, William D. "Bill" Hogarth. The family will receive friends, from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Keith Smith Funeral Service, 128 Water Street, Allendale SC 29810. 803-584-2492 Memorial contributions may be made to Allendale Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion, P.O.
