DILLIGARD, Rufus The relatives and friends of Mr. Rufus "Dilly" Dilligard and those of his wife, the late Catherine Frasier Dilligard; his children, Rufus, Jr. (Barbara), Clinton (Carol), and Claudette Hart (Darryl); his grandchildren, Anthony (Buffy) Dilligard, Latonya (Thomas) Edwards, Darren (Tonya) Dilligard, Rochone Dilligard, Kara Dilligard, Kevin Hart, and Reva Artis; his sister-in-law, Mary W. Frasier, his brother-in-law, Joseph Simmons (Mary), his six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, his mentee, Alonzo Haynes, and a host of other relatives and friend are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at "Mother" Emanuel AME Church, 110 Calhoun Street, Charleston, Rev. Joseph A. Darby, presiding. Inhumation will be at Morris Brown A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Charleston, SC. Friends may call Harleston-Boags Funeral Home, Inc., on Thursday, August 17, 2006 from 2 to 5 p.m. Mr. Rufus "Dilly" Dilligard will lie in state on Thursday, August 17, 2006 in "Mother" Emanuel AME Church from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by HARLESTON-BOAGS FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 121 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC. To the Dilligard family I send my condolence and prayers to you during your lost of a great and noble man. I met Mr. Dilligard through a family member Alonzo Haynes. He later became a mentor and instructor along with Elmore Sims. As I continued my travel through the masonic lodge he was always there over my shoulder mentoring and correcting!
