Faith and Angel,

Your mother was very special to me. She has encouraged me since I met her as my teacher many moons ago at Jennie Moore. Every success as an educator I made we celebrated together and she always encouraged me to reach higher. When I receive my doctorate this spring, I know she will be smiling with pride. She touched many lives!

To the family of Mrs. Rivers, may God grant you peace that only He can give during this most difficult time! My prayers are with each of you!

To the family, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of bereavement. May the Holy Spirit bring you comfort, Rosalind was such a dear sweet friend.

Faith, Angel & Family, may you find comfort in knowing that others share in your grief. Your mother was one of the most impressive teacher I had. She was my 3rd grade teacher at Laing Elementary School, Her teachings and memories will forever be in my heart.

Angel & Faith, my heart goes out to you and your family. As one of Ms. Rivers's students I was fortunate to be taught and disciplined by a teacher that truly cared about us. Great educator at Laing Elementary School when during the 60's. Also, one of the kindest and caring. Yet, very stern to her students of which they learned to appreciate. Janet joins me in expressing our sincere condolence to the daughters and family of Sister Rosalind in her home going. Janet and Rosalind were college class mates and I had the pleasure of being her pastor. The entire family is special to us. Remember, death is never a period; it is just a comma. You will always be in our hearts.

I have been privileged with some exceptionally regal, confident and intelligent individuals to enrich my life. Ms. Rivers did so profoundly. To be certain, elements of her grace, fortitude and decorum adorn each of us. Though it may hurt like so much more, this is merely a transition. Until we meet again, Ashé.

To Angel. My heart aches for you and Haley and Terrence to lose your wonderful mother-esp at Christmas. She was such a great person. What a legacy she leaves! You all are in my prayers.

My heart is saddened at the passing of a beautiful person who taught as a profession. I had told her several times how much she had taught me in the short time that I had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warm gentle smile offered hope and reassurance that will remain with me forever.

Ms. Rivers was one the teachers that helped shaped me into the educator that I am today. She was my 3rd grade teacher 26 years ago and she kept in touch with my educational progress every year. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Rest in Peace my dearest Educator. We will miss you!
