Roberta Simmons CHARLESTON - The relatives and friends of Mrs. Roberta Simmons are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church, 446 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston, SC. A Wake Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Simmons, Jr.; daughter, Karen Simmons; and parents, Lazzie and Idella Nelson Bannister. Mrs. Simmons leaves to cherish her memories: her children: Jeanaris Bannister (Christine), Cheryl P. Jenkins Cook (Vincent), Joann Simmons and Clarence Simmons (Cher); grandchildren: Corliss Wright (Marquillis), Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Ylanda Bluford, Autharee White, Anthony Simmons (Carnysha), Antoine Simmons and Greg Simmons; great-grandchildren: Somone Jenkins, Jalen Jenkins, Darrien White, Anthony Simmons, Jr., Dexter Simmons, Promyse Bluford, Asher Simmons, Atticus Simmons, Harper Wright and Zorah White; sister, Audrey Hunt; and a host of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, along with other family members and loving friends.
