Robert Timko Obituary

Robert "Bob" Timko NORTH PORT, FL - Robert "Bob" Timko, 83, husband of Mary Louise Chvostal Timko of North Port, Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2009. The relatives and friends of Robert "Bob" Timko are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, on Friday, August 14, 2009, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 89 Hasell Street, Charleston, SC, at 3:00 p.m. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangments by J HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Mr. Timko was born March 19, 1926, in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, step-son of the late John Fagula and son of the late Mary Balog Timko Fagula. He attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in metallurgical engineering. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a metallurgical engineer with Jessop Steel for over thirty years. Having been a member and usher at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, PA, Bob was a current member of San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port, FL. Bob enjoyed golf, fishing, bridge and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Mary Timko of North Port, FL; son, David Robert Timko of Beaver Falls, PA; daughter, Patricia Elizabeth Timko Fylstra and her husband, Donald, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two grandchildren Leigh Fylstra, M.D. of Durham, NC and Lauren Fylstra of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
