Robert Suddeth Obituary

Robert Minter "Randy" Suddeth, Jr. TALLULAH FALLS, GA - Robert Minter "Randy" Suddeth, Jr., 65, passed away at his home in Tallulah Falls, Georgia, on November 10, 2015. Randy was born on September 19, 1950 to Robert M. Suddeth, Sr. and Mary Catherine Suddeth. He spent much of his life in Summerville, South Carolina and in various cities in Florida before moving to Georgia. Randy was in the Air Force and US Coast Guard Reserve and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Randy was retired and enjoyed volunteering at the Rabun County Senior Center by teaching computers. As an animal lover, he also volunteered at Rabun Paws for Life. Randy leaves behind his devoted wife, Jewel, a step-daughter, Dorinda Paige (Brian) of Smyrna, his mother, Mary Catherine Suddeth of Clayton, two brothers, Richard Suddeth and James Suddeth of Washington, D.C., and one sister, Lisa Buchanan, of Clayton. Randy had several nephews, nieces and cousins, and a host of friends who will miss his smiling face. Randy was a Christian by faith and enjoyed studying the Holy Land because of the time he got to spend there. He often spoke about his vision of "life on the other side." The Reverend Madison McCracken will lead the celebration of Randy's life at the chapel at Beck's Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please honor Randy with a memorial donation to Rabun Paws for Life, P.O. Box 216, Clayton, GA 30525; or Fight Abuse In The Home (FAITH), P.O. Box 1964, Clayton, GA 30525. Visit our guestbook at www.legacy.com/obituaries/ charleston

"Stop it Randy. I can't stop laughing. You should have your own comedy show" I said that to Randy the last time we had coffee at McDonald's. For years on my short visits to Clayton, sitting at the same table, we had early morning coffee and a laugh. We love you and will miss for a very long time.
