Robert Stauber Obituary


STAUBER, Robert Entered into eternal rest on the evening of Tuesday, March 18, 2008, Robert Harold Stauber of Folly Beach, SC. Services will be Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Visitation begins at one o'clock with services beginning at two o'clock. A reception will follow at the American Legion Post #147 on James Island. Mr. Stauber was born February 29, 1936 in Newark NJ, the son of Harold Henry Stauber and Dorothy Howarth Stauber. He served with the United States Navy, was a retired contractor and was a member of American Legion Post #147. He is survived by Vivian R. Whorley of Folly Beach, SC; one daughter: Dorothy Stauber Strohman and her children, Dawn Renee Strohman and Joshua Strohman; son Leslie Stauber of Wyoming; and son Thomas Stauber of Summerville, SC and his children, Robert, Patrick, Emilia, Sebastian, Valeria, Clara and Xavier Stauber; one stepson: Earl Lester of California and his children, Earl, III, Robert and Irene; one stepdaughter: Deborah Lester. He also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Teyo, Klarice and Kaylee. Memorials may be made to Beach Renourishment, c/o City of Folly Beach, P.O. Box 48, Folly Beach, SC 29439. To Vivian and all the friends who knew Bob...what a wonderful friend to have! Your smile and big hugs could brighten any day. Dancing with you at the Pier and the Marina was heaven on earth! I will remember you always! My funny, wise and light-hearted friend...I love you and you will be missed.
