POWELL, Robert BLYTHEWOOD - Funeral service, with full military honors, for Robert E. Powell, USAF (Ret), 70, of Blythewood, will be held 3 o'clock, Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at Beulah United Methodist Church, 8546 Winnsboro Road, Blythewood, with Rev. Bill Lynch, Rev. Murray Gibbons, and Rev. Howard S. Price, Sr. officiating. Burial, with Masonic Rites, will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Ballentine Family Fellowship Hall of the church. Memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church, (mailing address) 8515 Winnsboro Road, Blythewood, SC 29016, or Dorn VA Medical Center, Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29206. SHIVES FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Powell died Thursday, December 22, 2005. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Wesley and Maggie Ruth Smith Powell. Survivors include his wife, Ella M. Oswald Powell of Blythewood; sons, Robert Alan (Kathy) Powell of Lexington, Mark (Candy) Powell of Blythewood; former daughter-in-law, Evelyn Dale of Northeast Columbia; grandchildren, Crystal Powell, Michael Rhembrandt, Jadell M. Powell and Mary Kathryn Powell; sisters, Sara Wren of Oklahoma and Molly Elaine Oswald of Blythewood. He was predeceased by siblings Richard L. Powell, Clyde Oliver "Pee Wee" Ingle, Jr., Maxie W.
