Robert Mangham Obituary

MANGHAM, Robert WALTERBORO - Robert Lee Mangham, chief dispatcher with the Walterboro City Police Department, died Monday, at MUSC, in Charleston. He was 46. Robert was born in Athens, GA, September 7, 1961, a son of the late Mary Lee Jones and Marvin L. Mangham Sr. He was a Sergeant with the South Carolina Army National Guard, Co. C, 118th Infantry when he was called to active duty during Operation Desert Storm. Robert was an Emergency Preparedness Dispatcher with FEMA, and enjoyed camping and fishing. He loved his job, and was a devoted employee of the city of Walterboro. He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Mangham of Florida, and Sandra Mangham of Alabama. He has one brother, Marvin L. Mangham, of Smoaks, and one sister, Mary Jane Wheless, of Athens, GA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, at 11:00 in the Chapel of PARKER-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME, with burial following in the Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery.
