Robert Lockey Obituary

LOCKEY, Robert Robert Bobby D. Lockey, 56, beloved husband of Sharon M. Lockey of Charleston, entered into eternal rest in the early morning hours of Friday, November 21, 2008 in a local hospital. Mr. Lockey was born July 9, 1952 at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC; he was the son of the late Donald A. Lockey. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Keenum Lockey and his mother Kathleen Gainey Lockey. He also is survived by three sons, Turner Dwayne Carroll (Tara) of Charleston; Jamie Christopher Carroll of Charlotte, NC; David Lockey Harley (Joanne) of Charleston; one grand-daughter, Alice Harley; two sisters, Renee Stroman (Jack) of Charleston; Pauline Reeves of Gainesville, GA; three brothers, Mickey Dale Lockey of San Francisco, CA; Bradford Lockey of Summerville; Roger Lockey (Tabitha) of Charleston and a host of numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Bobby was a lifetime salesman working with several snack food companies, including Tom's snack foods (25 years) and Moore's snack foods. He was a member of Northwood Assembly and attended Seacoast Church. He will be deeply missed. Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, November 24, 2008 from 7-9 pm at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Fred Richards; pastor of Northwood Assembly on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 1:30pm at McAlister-Smith West Ashley Chapel, burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after the service at 361 Curtiss Ave., Air Harbor, Charleston, 843-766-9466.
