Robert Kleeb Obituary

KLEEB, Robert Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of October 8, 2005, Robert Kleeb, of Charleston, SC. A memorial service will be held at Friday, October 14, 2005 at Ten O'clock a.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC. Mr. Kleeb was born October 20, 1936, in Charleston, SC, the son of Robert H. Kleeb, Jr. and Margaret Lafferty Kleeb. He retired from Mobil Oil Corporation April 1, 1993, Exploration & Corporate Divisional Production. He was awarded a B.A. degree (cum laude) in 1985 form Amherst College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania. Then received a M.A. from The Johns Hopkins University where he specialized in Middle Eastern Affairs at the School of Advanced International Studies. Robert joined Mobil in 1963, served as corporate relations advisor, manager, and administrator for Mobil International Exploration and producing operations. Director of E.E.O. council member of Business Advisors council of Business, V..P. of Executive. John Hopkins High School of Advanced International Studies and an executive residence at that institution. Teaching seminars on International Business and Business careers at both the Washington and Bologna, Italy Center of the School 1997-2000. Vice President and John Hopkins member of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association; Trustee and former Chairman of the Board of AFS Intercultural Programs, Inc., a well known international high school and teacher exchange organization. Mr. Kleeb is survived by two sisters, Carol Shuck, Maple Glen, PA and Sandra Walker, Ellensburg, WA and friend Wayne A. Smalls, Charleston, SC.
