Robert Finch Obituary

Robert C. Finch Florence, SC - Robert Cochran Finch, 53 of Florence, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Born on December 5, 1968, in Carmi, IL, Robert was the son of the late Margaret Finch (Cochran) and Gary Finch. Rob graduated from Carmi Community High School in 1987 and the University of Illinois in 1992. He then moved to Charleston, SC, and was inspired to pursue a career in radiology by his personal experience with radiation treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He earned his Associates in Health Sciences/Radiological Technology from Trident Technical College in 2002 and began work at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston as a radiology technician. He went on to earn his master's degree in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina 2009 and was most recently the Regional Director of Imaging Services for MUSC's Florence and Lancaster Divisions with responsibilities over four hospitals. As successful as he was professionally, Rob was most enriched by the people in his life. He nurtured friendships across many years and many miles, and he treasured the relationships he had with friends from every chapter of his life. Family was absolutely everything to him and his sons, Jake and Will, were his whole world. He is survived by his sons, Jake deLiesseline Finch, William Hunter Finch and their mother, Susan deLiesseline; his father, Gary Finch; his sister and brother-in-law, Rindy and Sean Ryan; his nephews, Jonathan Ryan and Robert Rya;, and his favorite niece, Sarah Ryan. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 1:00-3:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. The Memorial Service will be held following the visitation on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 3:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
