Robbie, its almost been a year and i can think of the last night i saw you like it was yesterday.(the night of your accident).. you have been on my mind alot lately. we all love and miss you. keep looking out for all of us!

Just wanted to ask you to be with us on monday when we play for Lower State. If nothing else motivates me for playing in that game, I will remember to play for you because you played every game with heart. Be with yours boys tomorrow night as well. They need you more than us.

The memories will be immortalized in the noggins until the day that you permanently pass out. The only thing now is the patience and endurance to get through all of life until we meet up with him again. He is in a place of genuine happiness, and his only worries is us. Lest him not worry; your thoughts reach him. Cherish him with thoughts of happiness. Smiles from here on out.

Owens Family- It has been 6 years since we left S.C. but it seems like only yesterday that Sara & I saw Robbie and Lindsey playing on the "video step dance machine" at the Citadel Mall. His contagious smile brightens our hearts....xoxoxo

Words cannot express my sadness over the death of Robbie. I remember him as a baby and toddler and how sweet he was then, and reading all of these entries I am sure that never changed! I cant imagine how hard this must be for the family, but I am thinking about you daily. I love you all!

Mary just told me and I'm wiping away the tears. I remember Robbie as such a sweet little boy with thick curly hair and an impish smile. I always looked forward to being around him and Lindsey during the Meierer family gatherings. You, Bob and Lindsey are in my thoughts now.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Owens and Lindsey,

I first met Robbie at one of Dusty Hudock's PSI Soccer Camps years ago. Since then Robbie and I have trained together, played against each oher and most often competed for the same position. I think we enjoyed a healthy competitive friendship of respect and a common excitent for what it is to be a keeper. Keepers are a different breed and because of that we all understand and respect each other. It is because of Robbie that I am a better keeper today. We were finally going to play the whole year together this fall and I was really looking forward to it. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

There are not words for the hurt that you are feeling and certainly words seem a little empty now...I was Lindsey's K-4 teacher @ Charleston Catholic and besides her fun-loving and mischevious!:) behavior all I can remember is what a great big brother Robbie was to her. He would walk her to my class each day and give her a hug before he left her ; many times he would come over and eat lunch with her...because ,you know, it's hard being the smallest in your school. My family's hearts and prayers are with each of you during this time.

It has been only two years since the passing of my 19 year old niece and I miss her every day, but it does get easiier because I know just how special she is. Robbie is that same special person. Dear Owens Family,

It is obvious that he touched the lives of many WAHS friends after witnessing the effect that his passing has had on my daughter, Lauren, and their many other friends. Robbie had the power to change the mood of a room while he was on this earth. Imagine the power he has now. I hope your family will find some peace in that thought. My sons and I will miss him.

I taught Robbie when he was in the third grade at The Charleston Catholic School. It should be a great comfort to you and your family to know that Robbie was an exceptional student, thoughtful, and very kind, when it came to doing something nice for someone.

I truly value those memories with great joy. Robbie would be truely missed.

Im really sorry to hear about Robbie. I went to C.E. Williams Middle School and West Ashley High School for my freshmen year. We were in some of the same classes. We werent friends but we knew of each other. He was such a great kid and he was really great at soccer too. Im really sorry for your loss.

Sometimes you don't realize how much of a family we have all become in our soccer community. We often talk about the wonderful people we have met, traveled with, shared dinner with, shared growing pains with and who become intertwined in our life's journey. Robbie is certainly one of our family and the family will miss him greatly. He always had a smile when we spoke to him. Words escape me at the news of your family's sudden loss. As a new mom I can not begin to imagine the pain. Please know that I as well as the rest of the ladies at the Center for Women are here for you.

I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
