Richie and I were both running backs at William and Mary and competed against each other and our opponents as well. We were both "grinders." My deepest sympathy to all those dear to him. May he rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Rich's passing. He was my first roommate during earlier football practice at William and Mary and he was indeed a gentleman and remained a friend for 60 years.
