Rheta Ray Reeves Scaffe CHARLESTON - Rheta Ray Reeves Scaffe, 84, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest, peacefully on the afternoon of October 15, 2022. Mrs. Scaffe was born on January 4, 1938 in Cottageville, SC, daughter of Theodore M. Reeves and Jesse Ray Kinsey Reeves. She was a graduate of St. Paul's High School and worked as an Inside Sales Representative (Classified-Ads) at the Post and Courier for over 40 years. Rheta enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, trips to the mountains, and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Mrs. Scaffe is preceded in death by her husband, William F. Scaffe; three brothers: Ted M. Reeves, III, Richard P. Reeves and Allen N. Reeves; and her step-mother, Thelma G. Reeves. She is survived by her son, William E. Scaffe (Gene) of Summerville, SC; daughter, Anne E. Matthews of Moncks Corner, SC; daughter, Bridget E. Scaffe of Goose Creek, SC; as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
