Randy Kasten Obituary

Randy Wayne Kasten, II CHARLESTON - Randy was born October 13, 1985, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Randy Wayne Kasten Sr, and Shari (Stevens) Kasten. Randy was the oldest of their 5 children. He had a charming way from birth; his dimples shined when he smiled. He loved his siblings, being a big brother, teasing, putting on accents, quoting movies, and helping them whenever they asked. Randy was baptized at Pierpont Baptist Church in 1996. Growing up, he enjoyed playing sports of all kinds but he enjoyed baseball the most. He was a third baseman, short-stop, and pitcher; wearing #9 and heckling the other players on the field. Later, he worked as an umpire with his Dad, at St. Andrew's P&P, as well as for travel ball. He loved NASCAR racing, building and painting model cars, and bowling. Randy was a gifted artist and singer, with an ear for harmony. He was a wonderful cook and worked to become a Sous Chef. Randy was full of love and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He'd spend his last dime on anything you wanted, just to see you smile. He found his joy in making those he loved happy. His world revolved around his children, and nothing made him happier than being a father. He would never leave you hungry; he loved showing off his skills and making meals for others. He loved to share what he knew. He was also silly, quick-witted, and hilarious; his laughter will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiance;e, Julia Jackson, and their son Riley Waylon Kasten; mother of his children, Courtney Cooper, their son Ryan Tyler Kasten, and their daughter, Camryn Melody Kasten; brother Kyle Kasten (wife Emily) and sons Luke & James; sister Krystal Kasten-Marshall (husband Dylan), sons Silas & Samuel, daughter Selah-Belle; brother Kurtyss Kasten (wife) Arden Turkewitz); sister Kelsee Kasten. He's also survived by Aunts: Sandra Kasten and children Steven (Jackie), Samantha, Devon, & Jess; Karla Enbody (Mark) and children Chris & Shanna (2 sons, Zachary & Andrew); Kae Taylor (Legre) and daughter Amber; Liz Reindollar (Andrew) and her children; Uncles: Kevin Zent, Kevin Jr ; Alan Kasten; Dana Kasten (Cindy) and sons Cody, Brandon (Kayla), & Holden (Malia); Pete Wilson and daughters Candace, Soleena, Angelique, & Caireese; and Grandfather, Wayne Kasten. Randy loved his family, was a fierce, hard worker, and was loved by more than he realized. Thank you friends and family for sharing love for him too. His Funeral Service will held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Grace on the Ashley Baptist Church, 2025 Bees Ferry Rd., Charleston, SC 29414, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
