To Philip's Family,

I was privileged to know Philip as a wonderful friend for the past decade or so. It always delighted me to recognize his zest for life, even in the most difficult times. He had great love for his faith and family, plus the unborn or troubled persons in our world.

He had a kindness for people that all of us wish we had.

May he be eternally happy in heaven with all those he has loved and have gone before him. Heaven has gained a real activist in strong faith and convictions. That's for sure.

I'm sorry I was unable to attend his funeral mass, but I was there in spirit while it was taking place in Santee.

I wish you all continued blessings, and the strength to carry on each day without him, as he would want you to. You were fortunate to have this special man as your father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and brother. He had to have many friends too.

Sincerely,

Mary Miller Orth
