Paula Alison McDonnell N. Charleston - Paula Alison Harper McDonnell, 56, of North Charleston, SC, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL. Paula was born February 10, 1960 in Charleston, SC, daughter of David Carroll Harper, Sr. and the late Violet Leo Scott Harper. She was an administrative assistant for a concrete manufacturing company and her hobbies included reading and gardening. She was a beloved daughter and a great loving mother to her two beautiful children. She will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her father; son, Philip Michael McDonnell, Jr. of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Megan Madercic and her husband Josh of Summerville, SC; grandchild, Carson Madercic-Hendrixson of Summerville, SC; sister, Kimberly Tracy Wilkins (Thomas E.) of North Charleston, SC; four nieces: Lauren Meyerhoff, Allison Meyerhoff, Jennifer Wilkins all of North Charleston, SC and Jennifer Harper of Moncks Corner, SC; two nephews, Joey Meyerhoff of Atlanta, GA and Alan Harper of Utah; brother, David Carroll Harper, Jr. (Julia) of Edisto, SC. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lynn Jeffery Harper and nephew, David Carroll Harper III. Memorials may be made to Holmes Avenue Baptist Church, 4602 Durant Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com. She was a very good daughter and sister growing up. So many good times! Her children and family and friends loved her very much. I miss our phone calls. You did he best you could in this world. You're in a better place. Say hi to Momma and Lynn for me. Patty, Linda and many more too! Rip girl!

Paula was the big sister of one of my best friends growing up. We lived on the same block. She was always so beautiful, and fun to be around. You will be missed by many . My prayers go up for you Kim, and Mr. Harper. I love you like family. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I love you all.
