Paul Martin Obituary

Paul Truman Martin, Jr., of Wampsville, NY, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the age of 76. He passed peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Mary, nearby.

Paul was born on September 29, 1945, the son of Paul Truman Martin and Dorothy M. Hauck. He resided in Peterboro where he graduated from Morrisville-Eaton Central High School. He then went on to graduate from Syracuse University after which he eventually found his way to a career in homebuilding.

Paul was a gregarious person in life, with a hearty laugh, and always a story to tell. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether building a home, rebuilding an engine, making model train buildings and scenery, or helping a neighbor in need.

His strong conviction was lived out in serving His Lord and Savior.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Mary Hammond-Martin, whom he married on May 19, 2018. Also surviving are two sons, CJ Martin, of FL, and Dr. Michael and Dayna Martin, of Vienna, VA; two grandchildren, Aidan and Lily; and a niece, Trista Williams. Paul was predeceased by his first wife, M. Jane Martin, on June 4, 2015; and his siblings, Billy, Bobby, and Patty.
