Norman Lorusso Obituary

Norman Lorusso MT. PLEASANT - Norman Lorusso passed away Wednesday, June fourth at Hospice of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant after a short battle with leukemia, surrounded by his loving family. Norman was born in Montreal, Quebec and moved to the Lowcountry in the mid 1980s. Already a successful photographer, he quickly became a vital member of the Charleston advertising community, as well as a popular wedding photographer. He was relentless when it came to getting "the shot" and never said no to any pro bono work that came his way. He was an eternal optimist and a creative intellect as well as a loving father and husband. He was also a talented musician, had a black belt in karate, and was dedicated to his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Lorusso. He is survived by his loving wife Chris, and his adoring children, Magenta and Kai. Funeral services will be private. Expressions of sympathy can be made online at palmettocremationsociety.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Charleston. I met Norman when I first got into real estate and took my first picture for my business cards. He was excellent and we had him photograph my daughters wedding. He was wonderful to work with and his work is absolutely beautiful. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. May his memory be eternal. Love, Maria, Tim, Sophia Latto
