Norbert Majewski Obituary

Norbert L. Majewski Summerville - Norbert L. Majewski "Ski", 86, of Summerville, husband of Peggy L. Majewski, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Veteran's Victory House, Walterboro. Norbert was born December 9, 1934 in Nanticoke, PA, son of the late Joseph Majewski and Laura Robachinski Majewski. Norbert retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of service including two tours in the Vietnam War. He attained the rank of Captain following his selection to become instructor of Marine Corps officers in various fields. He retired a second time after 20 years of civil service with Naval Supply Systems Command, Charleston. He was a 43-year member of Summerville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, and was a member of the Talley Sunday School Class. Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Peggy, one son: Randy Majewski of Charleston, and one step-son: Joseph E. Bell (Kathy) of Summerville, two grandchildren: Lauren Gregory (Ben) of Columbia and Rebecca Bell of Charleston and three great- grandchildren: Owen, Claire and Evie Gregory all of Columbia, and one sister: Sandra Neagle of Wilkes-Barre PA. Also, many special sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 11 to 12 o'clock at Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Avenue, Summerville. Funeral service will follow at 12 o'clock in the church. Entombment following the funeral service will be at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
