Hey this is Leeanne from Berkeley High school... Niya was a friend of mine and it hurt me when I found out that she died Friday.. but then i got to thinking... She is in a better place now without pain even though we are in pain.. But there is no more medicines and no more suffering for her... She has a beautiful baby girl Jordan... She is so precious... i loved Niya to death... But i am praying for everyone in the family.. Everyone at my church is praying for yall.. Niya always made me smile when I was upset or something.. She always had someone laughing or smiling.. Everytime someone talked to her they smiled and actually listened to her... Well that's all i got to say for now... Love Yall very much!!!!

It will take some time. Just trust in the Lord, Niya is right beside you probably hugging you. Don't be afraid she will also protect you, she will be your angel now.

No one knows what you are going through right now, but always know that God is still in control. We cannot know why Niya's life was so short, but He knows. I saw Niya grow from a little girl to a fine young woman. One lasting memory of Niya is that she was always smiling. Niya will always be with you, in your hearts and through her little angel - Jordan. May God bless each one of you.

On behalf of my daughter Tashiah Houston, she wanted me to let the family of "Niya" know that she has being praying for "Niya" all along and that she is deeply hurt. Only God knows best and we can't question why. One thing we do know is that God has sent you another beautiful "ANGEL"!
My daughter Tashiah is a member of the Stratford High Girls Varsity Basketball Team and has played against "Niya" for the past several years. Alot of students did not know that they were really good friends and was told they even favor in looks. There names are even similar too. Oh what A Blessing it was for my daughter to have known "Niya". Rest in Peace!
May God Bless you all and that "Sweet Little Angel Jordan"!

To Jackie, Rusty, Monica, and Sneak
I can't imagine the pain that you are suffering, but I do know that she is in a better place. Always remember that she will as ways be here. Take care of lil Niya and as a family support one another. Love you all and sorry that I could not have been there to give a shoulder to cry on or just a warm embrace. She is gone but will never be forgotten.

I did not personally know Niya, but I was blessed to be in her presence for a very short while. I know that through people who knew and loved her, she was a very special and talented young lady. May God wrap His arms around her as she is with Him in heaven. I will keep the family in prayer.

Heaven must have needed an angel because now they have one. She was one of a kind and never changed for no one. But now all we have is her memory and her child. I pray that God continues to be with your family in this time of need. Please stay strong. My love goes out to you.
