Nancy was a trend setter in so many ways. My friendship with Edward with our attending both PG and Vanderbilt together provided many opportunities to develop a keen appreciation for Nancy's wit.
I remember her commenting on seeing a B&W photo of Edward and me in civil war regalia. Edward passed muster in his uniform with me on the other hand appearing to have just emerged from battle, on the losing side.
That was Nancy. She was wonderful and will be missed.

I remember Miss Nancy first from when our families had houses at pre-development Kiawah in the 1960-70s.
Her vibrant personality and drive made her one those people who "took the room" wherever she entered one. She was a remarkable and memorable lady.
