Myrtle Ferguson Obituary

Myrtle Marie Ferguson SUMMERVILLE - Myrtle Marie, age 79 of Summerville, wife of David Joseph Ferguson, passed away on 15 April, 2014 at Hospice Center of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant. Friends and family may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock PM. Funeral Services will be held at 11 o'clock in the morning on 18 April, 2014 at the Charleston AFB Chapel, North Charleston, SC. There will be a short grave side service immediately following the funeral at the Plantation Memorial Garden in Moncks Corner, SC. She was born 18 February, 1935 in Piedmont, Alabama, the second daughter of Doyal and Fanny Wood. She married David Ferguson on 20 September 1952 in Cedartown, Georgia. Myrtle was a loving wife and mother who loved to shop, crochet, knit, cross-stitch, and spend time with her grandchildren and friends. She was affectionately known as Nana to her three granddaughters. Myrtle is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Chief Master Sergeant (USAF Ret) David Ferguson, their son, Colonel Tim Ferguson (USAF), three grandchildren, Whitney, Katelyn, and Savannah, and two sisters, Hattie Beatrice Dutton and Maurine Tanner.
