Miriam Lytle Obituary

Miriam Ellis Lytle MARIETTA, GA - Mrs. Miriam Ellis Hudson Lytle, 92, of Conyers, GA, passed away in her sleep Saturday morning March 3rd, 2012 at the Marietta Living Center in Marietta, GA. She had been in declining health for several years. Born August 1, 1919 in Estill, she was the daughter of the late Frampton Wymann "Doc" Ellis and Pheobe Crapse Ellis. She was a graduate of Estill High School. Widowed with a baby at the age of 20, she trained and worked as a beautician. Throughout her life, Miriam demonstrated a love of family, gardening, creative home furnishing, and Christian Education for children. She also worked in the hospitality industry, and as a caregiver for the elderly. She was the widow of Floyd Hudson and was also married to the late Hobert W. Lytle. She is survived by two sons: Dennis Lytle (son of Floyd Hudson) and wife Gwen of Bear, DE, and Alexander Lytle (son of Hobert Lytle) of Marietta, GA. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Wayne Lytle and wife Pat of Lansing, NY and Karen Lytle Glover and husband Peter of Newark, DE; and 4 great grandchildren: Andrew Lytle, Elizabeth Lytle, Claudia Glover and Lydia Glover. Miriam was predeceased by her brother, Frampton L. Ellis. There will be a graveside funeral service at 11:00 am on Saturday March 10th at the Lawtonville Cemetery in Estill, conducted by the Reverend Frank Sells, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Following the service, there will be a lunch at the Estill Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Miriam's name to the Lawtonville Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 200, Estill, SC 29918 or a charity of your choice.
