Heaven is sending us a message. About 2 hours ago, for some reason I was remembering Michael. Not long after, Kim's name popped up unexpectedly in my contacts. Hadn't seen her contact info for years. I thought maybe I should send Kim a message, to let her and her family know, they are not alone in thinking good thoughts about their Dear Michael. Since I was unsure about the exact timing of his passing (because he battled valiantly for so long) I hesitated. And now, an hour later Michael Greigs' FACE pops up in my email! My prayers for the Greig's and his daughters and their mother: that the memories are still alive, but the heartache, pain of the past is lessening with time. With Best Wishes, Anne.

Dear Michael,
As of next week, you will have been gone a month. Since we only see one another say, once a decade or so, it's not unusual that you're off on some adventure without telling the rest of us. I want you to know, that what I write here falls short ---describing the wisdom, charisma and sheer determination you illuminated in life.
You knew I had survived cancer, but Michael, you transcended it;
“My God Anne what has happened doesn't arouse my deepest fear but it certainly has awakened my mortality and sense of urgency to love, be kind, embrace humility, perpetuate humbleness and let others know how much they mean to me.”
You wrote those words last spring as your cancer became more stubborn, but you were focused like a laser beam on making it long enough to see your girls. You were so excited to see Danielle graduate and give Nicole a big squeeze. As I whisper to the stars now, I'm thankful for the soul-searching insights you shared (which I aspire to emulate) and to your family for taking such good care of you.

Mike, I know you were back in Eugene for quite a while, while you fought your cancer, left you several messages on your cell, really wish you would have called. You will be sincerely missed, very sorry that we were not able to stay in touch in a lot more over the years. Our prayers go out to your family, daughters and fiancee, God Bless. Ray and Sue Paiement!
Debbie and Kim, if you read this, please give a call, so I can catch up, Greg Graham would also love to hear from you. My cell number is 541-954-4117!

You will be missed and remembered. I know that Ania will miss going to Farm with you for breakfast =). Heartfelt sorrow for family and friends who will be missing you in their lives. Go with God.

People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad. ~Marcel Proust

An Oregon Duck used his wings to fly home. You will truely be missed Michael "Train" Greig. Thank you for being my dads best bud all these years & for all the support you gave to my brother Keith & I. We know you are blazing up & down the basketball court returning to your glory days as a Kamikaze kid for the Ducks. We will continue to celebrate your life & you will know that ours has been better having had you in it, cheers! Love you always. -Kristin Parma (Daughter of Steve & Dede Moreck)

Rest in peace, my old friend. I will forever cherish the memory of our last visit together. I was sure we had time for more. You will always be an inspiraton to many; Susan and I mourn the loss of an exceptional friend. Your world famous "mop sauce" lives on and you will be celebrated every time I fire up the grill. Blue skies...

Michael played at Oregon State. But he told me everyone wanted to be a Duck. Sad to hear of his loss.
