Mary Miller Obituary

Mary Behrens Miller Summerville - Mary Miller, 97, of Summerville, SC, widow of Charles Jack Miller, passed early Sunday, May 02, 2021. A private graveside service will be held. Mary was born August 29, 1923, in Evansville, Indiana, to Grover J. and E. Blanche Behrens. After graduating Bosse High School in Evansville, Mary was introduced to Jack through family. They married April 27, 1946. They resided in Summerville where they enjoyed 67 years of marriage. She was a member of Bethany Methodist Church. Grandma loved to play cards, especially Blitz and Bridge. She enjoyed going to and watching all the ballgames. She was always the loudest cheerleader in the stands for her grandchildren, and she loved watching the Atlanta Braves on TV. Thank you, Grandma, for all the Sunday dinners and for teaching us to tie our shoes! She loved and was very proud of her family. We know she's dancing with Grandpa now, as they loved to do. Surviving are her loving children, Jennifer M. and Michael F. Harris of Lorton, VA, and Tom and Lyn R. Miller of Summerville; her five grandchildren: Michael F. and Nicole Harris of Carlsbad, CA, Kim and Lance Taylor of Sugar Land, TX, Kate Miller of Summerville, Ellie and Marty DeSanto II of Moncks Corner, Stephen and Brishelle Miller of Greenville; her 11 great-grandchildren: Jacob (mom, Monica Bradshaw), Isaac, and Samuel Harris; Jessie Bradshaw (mom, Monica); Jackson, Angela, Jenna (Tyler) and Marty DeSanto III; Jacob and Aubrey Miller; and Blake Taylor; her two great-great-granddaughters: Jaelyn and Camille; and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Jack Miller, and her son, John Robert Miller of Summerville; two brothers and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Village at Summerville Employee's Fund, 201 West 9th North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. I was just thinking about y´all´s parents the other day. They were both fine folks. Mama and daddy thought so too. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers. It helps just knowing they have gone home to be with the Lord.
