Later, she moved to Spokane, Washington and married to Larry Lee Simpson in 1962. They then became parents to Matthew Eric and David Charles Simpson, prior to Larry's death in 1972. She worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Spokane Valley General Hospital. Mary married Roger Glenn Cady in 1973. They enjoyed their various homes in Spokane Valley, Washington for 45 years. This marriage included many years of being "Snow Birds" and migrating to their Arizona winter home. They also took many vacation road trips throughout the western states and Canada. She was a member of the former Spokane Valley Extension Homemakers Club, various church groups, Order of Eastern Star, Garden Club, Red Hats, T. O. P. S and others. She stayed busy and active, even in retirement. Her friendships in these groups were a huge source of enjoyment. She loved nothing greater than to hear from each of them and to learn how they are living their lives.
