Mary Agnes Morrissey Pascoe
Charleston - Mary Agnes Morrissey Pascoe, 85, passed away peacefully at her residence in Charleston, SC on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Mary was born on August 28, 1940 in Richmond, VA, daughter of the late James Keenan Morrissey and Dorothy Elizabeth Lux Morrissey. She graduated from St. Gertrude High School in VA, and Loyola University Maryland. She married William Edwards Pascoe III in 1961. In 1971 Mary and Bill and their three young daughters moved to Baltimore, MD. She enjoyed working as Director of Financial Aid at Notre Dame of Maryland University, and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Villa Julie College (Stevenson University). Before finally retiring, she thoroughly enjoyed working at Johns Hopkins Hospital with medical students, preceptors and patients during clinical practice.
Mary led a very active and full life with many hobbies and interests. She made friends easily everywhere. She enjoyed travelling in the US and abroad, making memories of her adventures with family and friends. She had friend groups in each of her activities: BYKOTA Center (MD), Waring Center (SC), various Girls' Night Out groups and loved ballroom dancing. She was an avid runner having completed numerous 10k races and several marathons, including two New York Marathons. She was passionate in horseback riding, dog training, sport fishing, tai chi, and yoga activities. She was a skillful pianist and her piano was central to her home and her heart throughout her life. She supported the local arts with theater and music memberships. Her smile, youthful energy and positivity will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Pascoe Meyer (Michael), Cheryl Pascoe Highfield, Denise Pascoe Wilson (Russ), son-in-law, John W. Highfield; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Dorothy Louise Morrissey, Catherine Anne Morrissey Jackson, and brother Michael John Morrissey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her brother, George Francis Morrissey.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 25 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, January 26 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated in Baltimore at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
