Marvin Thames, Sr. AWENDAW - Marvin Lee Thames, Sr., 87, of Awendaw, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 15, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 11:00 am. His burial will follow the service at Wilson Cemetery in Awendaw, SC. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. Marvin was born January 28, 1937, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Robert Thames and the late Virginia Murrell Thames. As Contractor and Residential Home Builder, Marvin was able to travel the lowcountry and leave his legacy in what he created. He will be remembered for the way he loved his friends and family. He is survived by son, Kevin Thames (Amy); daughter, Donna Fischer (Otis); daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Thames; six grandchildren, Tyler Thames (Christy), Bailey Turnage (Steven), Brenna Thames, Russ Thames (Charles), Robbie Fischer (Sarah), Brianne Sanders (Matthew); two stepchildren, Wendy Fisher (Duane), Krysti Fazi; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Thames; son, Marvin Lee Thames, Jr.; and stepson, Nick Fazi. Memorials may be made to Mt.
