Mark Blunt Obituary

It is not a stretch for me to say that Mark (Kenneth) was my favorite cousin. He always made me feel good about checking on him. I always tested him by asking, "Kenneth do you know who I am? He would follow with, "Willis I know you! It made both of us feel good to know that no amount of time or space would ever seperate us.

Prior to his passing, I visited the nursing home where he spent his final days. He was asleep and could not speak to me. However, the attending nurse assured me that he remembered me; and often talked about me.

Mark will always be alive in my heart, and I pray that he is at peace with God. He, above many, deserves to "Rest in Peace." God has always favored you Mark!!!

I dIdn't get to know Kenneth very well but the times that I recall he always knew who I was and was very kind. May he rest in eternal peace.

R.I.P. Kenneth, you fought a good fight for a long time.
My mother often recalls two things about Kenneth, one was how proud and happy she was to see him dressed up and singing on the choir one Sunday in Mt. Olive Church.
And the other was how the last time she and Aunt Deloris went by to see him, Aunt Deloris asked if he knew who she was and he said, "Who don't know you, Loris?" Cracked them up!

It took me a while to find the words. Reading the heartfelt posts, I can relate to many of them.

One thing for sure, Uncle Kenneth had a smile that made "Everyone" feel special.

Kenneth will truly be missed by all.

my brother in law will be missed all of his days were good days even in sickness he would still have a smile.

May my uncle rest in peace. I remember the day before his death my grandmother Greta,my grandaunt Barbara and I went to go visit him when we were leaving we said see you later, and he shook his head no, so I guess you can say he knew it was his time to go, and he will be miss.

I prayed to God that he would receive the spirit and soul of the one cousin who never forgot who l was; and that l loved him. "Rest in peace" Kenneth. God has room for you in heaven.

My uncle Kenneth a very special and talent man. I can remember if u will ask him a name of a song he will tell u the artist and date it came out. He is one of the reason why I love music I love him and I wil miss him very much.

Kenneth's life touched everyone he came in contact with and he is remembered and missed for that.

I didn't get to visit much but I have fond memories of him in my heart.

Uncle Kenneth knew all his family members by name.He never forget.He was very polite and I never saw him complain about anything.Love is what he expressed all the time.Rest in peace.

My uncle Kenneth was a ray of sunshine.He was blessed with a peaceful spirit.Kenneth had an excellent memory for songs.He sang every song that came on the radio.Many years can pass since he last saw you and he can tell which niece or nephew you are.I miss him but he is resting.My prayers for peace is for the family and all who loved him.

What I will remember most about my cousin Kenneth is his smile. He was very kind-hearted and LOVED being around his family. We all loved him. May he rest in peace.

It is with deepest sympathy that I write these few words to celebrate a life well lived. I did not know you well but I sure heard stories from my family, about how much of a blessing you were. Praying God comfort those grieving like only he can. I pray that you sleep in peace and rest well in the kingdom above!

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

I remember Kenneth, Greta and I playing together as kids. Kenneth would call me "Andy" and make clicking sounds. After awhile I would tell Kenneth to stop clicking, and he would stop for a few minutes; then he'd start again. He was such a sweet, gentle kid, and I enjoyed being around him.

Sorry I couldn't make it to the funeral, but I will miss my cousin. I am thankful that God blessed him to live a long life considering his syndrome. And I also thank God that he is now at peace with Him and family members who have passed on before.

Kenneth was a true soldier. He beat the odds of living with his condition as long as he did. This shows that GOD is good and in control all the time. Rest in peace my cousin.
