Lynn and Raymond,
Mr. Marion was so fortunate to have such a devoted son and daughter-in-law. The residents and staff will miss seeing you on a daily basis at the Victory House. May God bless and keep you both. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Rhode. My name is Herbert R. Sass, III, and I met Mr Rhode when I was in high school and he was the superintendant for Yeamans Development Company and building houses. My father was in charge of sales at Stevenson Zimmerman in the 60's and early 70's. He was Herbert R. Sass, Jr. I painted many of those homes in Sedgefield and Willowbrook in Goose Creek in the summer during summer break while I was at the Citadel.
I'd like to tell you how much I respected Mr. Rhode. I know my father and everyone at SZ really liked him and respected his work and his word. You always knew he was in charge and he always completed the job. He was one fine person and he made an impression on my life when I was growing up in a very positive way. I always wondered where he had retired. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I wilsh you and your family the best.

I knew Mr.Rhode he was a resident at the Veterans Victory House Nursing Home in Walterboro and I volunteered there and I would visit Mr Rhode everytime I was there and I would visit him before I left. He reminded me so much of my grandad I think that is one of there reasons I was so close to him. But he will always be one of my favorite people.

You all have been in my thoughts since Friday when they came for him while I was still at the front desk. He was a wonderful man who we are all better for having known.
