Marion Clayton (M.C.) Littlejohn, Sr. Johns Island - Marion Clayton (M.C.) Littlejohn, Sr. of Johns Island entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at his home. He was 86 years of age. M.C. was born in Athens, GA, on April 4, 1935, to M. Varnell Littlejohn and Anne Colquitt Littlejohn. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean Paul Littlejohn; his son, Marion Clayton Littlejohn, Jr. (Lori); grandchildren, Robert David Littlejohn, Kimberly Shavaunn Littlejohn, Marion Clayton Littlejohn, III (Whitney), Caitlin Jean Littlejohn; and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, David Lee Littlejohn, and daughter, Kimberly S. Littlejohn. M.C. entered the U.S. Navy in 1953 and dutifully served his nation for 20 years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer, E7 in 1973. Upon retiring he started Sea Island Kennels where he trained and bred bird dogs. He was quite successful in producing many Field Trial winning bird dogs and passed his skills on to his grandson, Trey, who carries on with Sea Island Kennels today.
