Marie Carnes Obituary

CARNES, Marie Marie Ellen Carnes, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, widow of Charles Carnes died Monday, July 17, 2006. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 11 o'clock at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Summerville. Burial will follow in Lorraine Park Mausoleum, Baltimore, Maryland. Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 7 until 9 o'clock Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Lutheran Hospice, 900 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. Ste. 200, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Mrs. Carnes was born July 11, 1915 in Baltimore City, Maryland, daughter of the late Henry Claus Bruggman and Mary Ellen Phillips Bruggman. She was a graduate of Towson Senior High School, and Strayers Business School, Baltimore, Maryland. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile. She retired as secretary with the Scottish Rite Temple and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Overlea, Maryland. Survivors include: 1 daughter: Diane Wolf ( Edward ) of Summerville' 2 grandsons: David Wolf of Ellicott City, Maryland. Gregory Wolf of Rochester Hills, Michigan; 11 great grandchildren.
