Margaret "Peggy" Sordelet Bauer AWENDAW - Mrs. Margaret "Peggy" Sordelet Bauer, 81, of Awendaw, SC died peacefully in her home Thursday, October 2, 2014. She was born the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Cordelia A. Powers on Tuesday, September 26, 1933 in AuSable Forks, NY. Peggy was a devoted member of Christ Our King Church and served for many years in various capacities. She was active with the Senior Ministries and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was retired from Charleston County School system with a Masters Degree in education. She is survived by her loving husband; George Wolfgang Paul Bauer, of Awendaw, SC; Michael J. and Lori Sordelet of Blairsville GA., Christopher J. and Tina Sordelet and Mark A. Sordelet, both of Goose Creek, SC; a sister Teresa Schott of Hillsdale, New Jersey ; and Five Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren; She was predeceased by her former husband, James R Sordelet, sister Mary Prosser, and one son, Matthew Sordelet. Family and friends will gather between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Monday, October 6, 2014 at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Entombment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Roper Hospice, 1483 Tobias Gadson Blvd Suite 208A, Charleston, SC 29407 or Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive, Mt.
