Although I never met Mrs. Rubin, I have the pleasure of knowing her wonderful daughter. If the child you raise says anything about your character, then I'm sure Mrs. Rubin was a wonderful person. I am so sorry for your loss Eve. If there is anything I can do please let me know.

Maizie and Eve introduced me to Osawa Hall and The Shed at Tanglewood along with a nearby scenic meadow that commands a beautiful view of The Berkshires. Equally as pleasurable as listening to the chamber and symphonic music was seeing Maizie enjoy each of the movements performed. Maizie's descriptions of Tanglewood, Charleston, Buffalo and Pittsburgh, her personable connection with family and friends, and her engaging personality and intellect have made a genuine impression on me in the relatively brief time that I have known Maizie.

I believe that the love one expresses toward others is often reflected in the manner in which he or she is loved in return. This belief applies truly to the interactions that I have observed and about which I have learned among Maizie, her daughter Eve, her granddaughter Becca, and dear family friends. Although I never had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Rubin, I became aware of how much Maizie adored and respected her husband, as well. Maizie's affect on her loving family and the people with whom she associated will endure as does a familiar chamber or symphonic movement that may be enjoyed in concert halls and from expansive summer lawns for decades to come.

Maizie-Louise will always remain in our hearts as a good, kind, always giving friend and neighbor. Her legacy of a gentile-southern caring person will always be with us. We are definitely a sadder community, and friend, without her. Warm personal regards to the entire family - Riki, Steve, and Gene
