Dear Elias & Shannon

Dana and I wanted to express our sympathy to the two of you in the loss of Maia. I am sure your feeling of loss is great. Rest assured that you did everything humanly possible for her. Our daughter, Bryna, told us what a sweet, beautiful child she was. At times like this it is hard to believe that there is a reason for this loss but my Christian faith tells me there is a higher power at work. Maia is no doubt bringing absolute joy to countless others in heaven. May your future be filled with joy and love.

Elias, I just had the opportunity to meet you recently and then we learned this news. Our hearts are very sad for your loss. From the photo, Maia radiates beauty and joy and we feel certain that our Father was with her through this all.

Our hearts break for you as parents. I can only imagine the pain that you must feel. Yet, we are thankful that this world is not all there is. I rejoice that you will be united with Maia again, and that we will be able to meet her as well since we did not have a chance to see her here on earth. You will be in your prayers.
