Mabel Farmer Obituary

FARMER, Mabel Mabel Clara Edgerton Farmer, 88, of 102 Plantation Road, Goldsboro, NC died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A native of Wayne County, she was born to the late Frank Anderson and Mary Alice Frazier Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Lamar Garland Farmer, Jr. and one son, Lamar Garland Farmer, III. Mrs. Farmer was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She graduated from Nahunta High School. Among the surviving children is one daughter and son-in-law, Betty F. and Charles Blanchard of Charleston, SC. Among her surviving grandchildren are Comar Blanchard, Michael Blanchard, Kevin Blanchard, Mark Blanchard, Regan Blanchard and JoBeth Blanchard Wade of Charleston, SC, and twelve great-grandchildren, Chase Blanchard, Amanda Blanchard, Garland Blanchard, Cassie Blanchard, Heidi Blanchard, Holly Blanchard, K.B. Blanchard, Parker Blanchard, John Regan Blanchard and Patricia Elizabeth Blanchard and Trey & Riley Wade, all of Charleston SC. Recitation of the rosary for Mrs. Farmer will be at 6:00pm on Wednesday at SHUMATE-FAULK FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, GOLDSBORO, NC followed by visitation from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Goldsboro, NC with the Rev. Tom Norris presiding. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park, Dudley, NC.
